The powerhouse Afro-Cuban All Stars have sparked a worldwide infatuation with the diversity and vitality of Cuban music. The talented 14-piece big band are ambassadors of a musical style that melds influences from classic son montuno and contemporary timba, to swinging big band and Afro-Cuban jazz, and has earned them four Grammy nominations. No one has done more to invigorate the revival and growth of Cuban music than band leader Juan de Marcos and no one is better able to get audiences dancing in the aisles than the exuberant Afro-Cuban All Stars.
