"Guitarist Julian Lage is a rising star on the contemporary jazz scene, his guitar virtuosity and talent as a composer is broadly admired by both fellow musicians and fans alike. A Santa Rosa native, Lage appeared as an up-and-coming talent on the Grammy Awards telecast at the age of 12 and was performing with such legends as Carlos Santana, Pat Metheny and David Grisman not long after. His diverse musical interests, from classical, folk and bluegrass, to Latin and modern jazz, all find their way into his complex and melodic improvisational music."
